Chemical weapons mishap in Syria, reports Jane’s

The latest development on the Syria front is a report in Jane’s Defence Weekly reported today in the Israeli press. According to Jane’s, as relayed by Yediot Aharanot, 15 Syrian officers and dozens of Iranian experts died earlier this symmer in an explosion at a missile installation for manufacturing chemical weapons southeast of Aleppo (see As Safirah on the map). The installation reportedly manufactured chemical warfare agents, including mustard gas, VX gas and sarin nerve gas.

The looming Syria-Israel showdown has been a favorite topic of the Israeli press all summer. That has made the last couple of weeks especially difficult for Israeli journalists who been squirming anxiously after being silenced by the draconian and highly unusual military censorship regulations that were slapped on all media in Israel after the air strikes in Syria earlier this month.

I was surprised while reading today’s coverage to learn that Yediot Aharanot actually hires the Digital Globe, a commercial spy satellite, to photograph Syrian and Iranian military installations. Apparently they’ve been doing this for years. And in case you want to lodge a complaint or sing the praises of Syria’s missile manufacturers, Yediot provides you an address and phone number in today’s paper:

The scientific branch in charge of missile manufacturing know-how in Syria is the Scientific Studies and Research Center (SSRC). They can be reached at POB 4470, Damascus. It is also possible to call them at 963-11-772-603 or to fax them at 963-11-222-3771.

Finally they erased the wrong date in the original out of this hoax. [Olmerts approval ratings jump on news about Syria]. “Syria is currently in the midst of a PR battle” OH, YES! Especially Assad-II, who is in direct control of CW-Warheads.

Ok, the Syrians have reached it back in the end-90ties to put a 550Kilo-VX-fill into a Scud-Warhead. And now they have to “attempt” it? To show it “Iranians?” In 2007, the age of computer-animations? After the whole world could see on 1 July 2001, the Syrians tested a Scud-B missile fitted with a simulated chemical warhead? Without “closing the door”, without “full body protection”, without firefigther with “full body protection”, without evacuation the whole region after the incident?

Knock-of in the death-zone I - radius of 6 miles - with 550 Kilo VX kills not 15 + Dozends. It contamininates several ten-thousands of people and it kills them SLOWLY. As-Safira, which is 2 miles away has over 110 000 inhabitants.

The first report of as-Safira I read was 23 Av 5756 Special Report of SNS-news-service. [My, g*d, I am growing older and older… btw… what happend to SNS?] Before that the two other sides were in the focus.

And Janes? Well, they have prooved that they can use “google-map” very well. But I can remember that they yelled “neve-gas-testing” every time the Syrians tested ranges in the syrian desert or “unidentified bombings” happend there. Come on guys! Send a special-Janes-agent to Syria and show us what happend with all those “dozends” of dead Iranians. Or try to “google-map” us the site of the mass-grave of the as-Safir accident.

It seems that Israel is following Cheney’s memo. Shaul, I bet they can’t find the “victims” of the “accident”, because they fed the corpses to the North Koreans, after which the magic North Koreans defecated nuclear materials that they smuggled out of Iraq. Hence, Israel had to bomb the latrine, which was really a tunnel to Gaza. Look out, dude! Evil!

CR, the last word is left for “Ace of Spades”: “Doesn’t mean it’s true, but it’s better intelligence than our own idiots can manage.” :-)

True. I’m definitely impressed by their creativity, but I like my story better. ; - )

    CR,

after I read that they really wrote about a “cloud of VX” that went in the air, I must admit that [after Bophal or Seveso] I am again at the point to say that people who belive this shit really deverve to be lead by Bush or Olmert. And your story is very cool, but I think you are wrong. “They fed [NOT] the corpses to the North Koreans, but the brains of several hundreds of millions of Westerners.”

For those wanting a more active tour of the site, it is very easy to spot this installation on Google Earth. Look to the south-western edge of as-Safir.

Yes!!! Yes!!! TerraMetrics FINALLY publishes satellite images of Israel at http://maps.google.de/maps?oe=UTF-8&hl=de&tab=wl&q=

They have not published city-names, but insert search=”Israel” and you can take a more active tour of chemical-accident-sites like Ramat Hovav. [Serious flaws in the handling of the last month’s explosion in Ramat Hovav could have put thousands of lives at risk, according to an independent investigation. Human rights and environmental organizations on Monday released an interim report that investigated the August 13 incident at the Makhteshim Chemical Works plant and its aftermath, in which eight employees were hospitalized. The explosion occurred in a reactor that contained the insecticide Suprathion, a potentially lethal organic-phosphoric substance that spread out one kilometer from the factory site. The chemical reached the outskirts of the unrecognized Beduin village of Wadi el-Na’am, which has a population of 5,000, including almost 1,800 children.] The site has a history… AND there are plans to locate a “massive” IDF-”training-complex” nearby.

Ooooh… But I forgot!!! Lies about “dozends of killed Iranians” are much more intresting than real, silent and slow deaths of Bedouin-children.
