Jews fueling Darfur conflict

No comment needed on this one:

Sudan’s defense minister, Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein, has accused “24 Jewish organizations” of “fueling the conflict in Darfur” last week in an interview with a Saudi newspaper.

A journalist from Saudi Arabia’s Okaz newspaper asked Hussein: “Some people are talking about the penetration of Jewish organizations in Darfur and that there is no conflict there?”

“The Darfur issue is being fuelled by 24 Jewish organizations, who are making the largest amount of noise over the issue, and using the Holocaust in their campaigning,” the Sudanese defense minister replied.

“Are these Jewish groups supporting (the rebels) financially?,” the interviewer from Okaz asked Hussein.

“Yes, they provide political and material support through their control over the media and across American and British circles,” Hussein said, adding that Jewish groups were using “all means to fuel these conflicts.”

Sounds like a coward little minister two me who searches to hide from responsibility behind the cheap accusation of well-known enemies…

Respectfully disagree; there is much need to comment when faced with such vile hatred. Especially when you re-publish it.

Such accusations against relief-organisations are not new. Some locals can not understand that only a small part of the promised money reached the suffering people, but Westerners, “development workers” paid by the relief-orgs are sitting in luxirious tent-camps with their high-tec-labtops in bars … Rumbek, Sudan is one of the nicest tent-camps in Africa. Other accusations, that money goes direct into the hands of “rebels” [SPLA] via corruption or via the retirement-money are true, but I can not say how much money in total we are talking about.

The umbrella-organisation of the most of the “24″ JCDR says: “100% of all donated funds are used for Coalition activities.”, that can mean 75% is going into relief [see link] and if you dig deeper at MSF, you can find the story “of more than 100 agency vehicles were stolen and already this year the figure has exceeded 50..” Maybe Mr. Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein has seen some SPLA-warriors driving in new “jewish” pickups.

Arab Anti Semitism is well known and only second to the Nazi German’s Anti Semitism. There is no connection between those kinds of Arabs and reality.
The importance of such quotes is to bring the facts to the public in order to let each of one to measure and evaluate the meaning of such behave.

If Mr. Bush would have ask my opinion I sure had say to him to send some coalition troops to Darfur to protect the refugees. And I would recommend Israel to send some of their soldiers too, to bring hope for the Darfurians.
