Slow blogging

July 11th, 2007 · 20 Comments

I’m on vacation on the Greek island of Paros so blogging will be very slow until I’m back in Jerusalem on Monday. In the meantime, there’s this latest sign that the Iraq adventure is going swell:

BASRA, Iraq, July 11, 2007 (AFP) - The Iraqi port city of Basra, already prey to a nasty turf war between rival militia factions, has now been gripped by a new fear — a giant badger stalking the streets by night.

Local farmers have caught and killed several of the beasts, but this has done nothing to dispel rumours of a bear-like monster that eats humans and was allegedly released into the area by British forces to spread panic.

“I was sleeping at night when this strange animal hit me on my head. I have not seen such an animal before. My husband hurried to shoot it but it was as swift as a deer,” said Suad Hassan, a 30-year-old housewife.

“It is the size of a dog but his head is like a monkey. It runs so quickly.”

“I believe this animal appeared following a raid to the region by the British forces,” said Ali Mohsen, a farmer in his 40s from Karmat Ali, near the air base used by the multinational force.

You know you’re in trouble when your public affairs folks have to issue statements like this one from the British army spokesman in Basra:

“We have not released giant badgers in Basra.”

Busybody, if you are unable to comment intelligently why comment at all.

  • 7 ns // Jul 12, 2007 at 2:53 pm

yes busybody, aren’t you supposed to be busy with something?

  • 8 busybody // Jul 12, 2007 at 6:35 pm

I recognize my comment could be seen as confrontational

    HOWEVER

I get pissed off the so called “reporters” that seek the safety of Israel

    And

    Whitewash the terrorists

Could or would a reporter ever TELL THE TRUTH of Hamas barbaric actions when they KNOW if they did

They would be KILLED or KIDNAPPED in Hamastan?

Why isnt this “reporter” LIVE in Gaza?

Its easy to DUMP on Israel, there is NO DOWNSIDE

Its impossible to tell the truth about Hamas, its FATAL!

  • 9 Sampson // Jul 12, 2007 at 8:21 pm

To make you a better informed individual, this reporter was in Lebanon during the entire war and was one of only 3 reporters in Gaza during the entire Hamas takeover of Fatah. To refer to him as being lacking in courage simply shows that you know not of what you speak. I strongly suggest that if you are going to insult someone, at least base your insults on facts.

Blognews: … Mr. Kraft proudly presents the first and official german website of famous lyric busybody. Mr. Kraft will update the site if new material occurs and will perform the material at the Kraichgau festival of modern art in September with two latex-models that will burn Hamas flags [and other unbelivale dirty things with Hamas-items]

Busybody - You must have lived in Gaza quite a while to be able to have such an expert opinion on Hamas over a journalist who has risked his life to do his job during the Hamas take over of the Gaza Strip.

I don’t have a lot of respect for many of the reporting agencies that cover this region of the world, but NPR, McClatchy and Mr. ConflictBlotter should be given their due respect in risking their lives to bring their readers the reality on the ground there.

Show me where this so called “reporter” tells of the CRIMINALS running hamas?

    The KILLINGS they engage in?

The TERROR they unleash on its people and on Israel

    OR

is it always couched in terms of

    “RESSISTANCE”?

  • 15 Foxy // Jul 13, 2007 at 11:57 pm

    “Show me where this”

“..who was shot five times point blank by Hamas militants..” … “Nurse and patient can even find a shred of common cause now that the Islamist Hamas movement, which has killed dozens of Israelis in suicide bombings,…” [Charles Levinson]

    Any other questions, trollophant?

    edie…..turd sniffer

I was a command lead of an under cover group of guys

JEW soldiers that lived, breathed, ate, slept with HAMAS

    FOR SEVERAL MONTHS

    AND THEN KILLED DOZENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    SO FUCK OFF TURD SNIFFER

  • 17 Foxness as usual // Jul 15, 2007 at 10:34 pm

AND THEN KILLED DOZENS …. of cockroaches. Yes, busybody, we know the problem… The virtual life of anonym low-budget-fascists almost always disintegrates them from normal social life. No [girl-]friends, no contact, to neighbours, parents, alcoholism, babydrugs lead into rising paranoia. A REAL dirty houshold follows and a LOT OF cockroaches storm the house.

And I have seen dozens of cases of those fascists running wild in their appartment, clothed like IDF-Undercover-Hamasniks, killing scores of coackroaches, screaming: “HAMAS BASTRD! I WILL KILL YOU ALL.”

I have already informed http://www.maytal.co.il/english/ about your case. They will call you this week…
