We have no idea still what happened at Abbas’ compound. But the fighting appears to have ceased. Ismail Haniya has said he’ll give a press conference at noon tomorrow. I guess we’re going to bed with unanswered questions.

If the press conference happens it should be closely listened to by all. Could indicate whether Hamas extremists take this rebellion in the direction of uncompromising Islamst revival, or whether the moderates in Hamas will shape a more pragmatic agenda for reform.
